L. Şebnem Öztaner was graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Law in 1996. In 1995, when she was still a student at the faculty of law, she started working part-time in a law office where she could gain experience in Commercial Law Cases and she would be able to work in for a long time after completing her legal advocacy internship.
Later on, she continued her career in significant national and international companies such as Aria (currently known as Avea), Aselsan, Japan Tobacco International as Legal Counsellor and Contract Specialist.
In 2007, she joined Yazıcı Law Office where she provided numerous domestic and foreign clients with consultancy services in petroleum, energy, construction, defense industry, and infrastructure / superstructure projects until August 2015, when she quitted as a partner.
L. Şebnem Öztaner’s professional experience mainly consists of construction, infrastructure / superstructure, electricity, production, mining, defense industry projects as well as mergers and acquisitions, and the preparation of international contracts, negotiations and finalization of the said, management of the processes of the projects, and additionally international arbitration matters.
She is currently carrying on her legal experience of more than 20 years under her own practice as well as in cooperation with Tarlan Law Firm, and is providing the companies in the sector with consultancy services.
