Selen EGELİ SEMİZ

Selen Egeli Semiz graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Law in 1998 and completed her legal internship at Turunç & Savaşçın Law Firm, where she worked for 8 years. She then served as a lawyer/legal adviser to foreign and local companies in areas such as law of obligations, commercial law, labor law and consumer law. She also obtained her master's degree in European Union law from Marmara University, European Union Institute.
In 2008, she switched to the insurance industry and became Corporate Legal Counsel in various insurance companies. She held managerial and directorial positions in the corporate law departments of Liberty Sigorta A.Ş., Aksigorta A.Ş. and Marsh Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. until 2019. She also served as the Human Resources Director at Liberty Sigorta A.Ş. between 2012 and 2014, where she led the company's new HR processes structuring projects besides her standard HR management duties.
She left the insurance industry in 2019 and worked on a short-term project at Koç University in 2020 to establish and structure the legal department.
Since 2021, Selen Egeli Semiz has been working as a freelance lawyer, legal consultant and mediator, and also continues her legal consultancy services in cooperation with Tarlan Law Firm.
